This mid-century modern sofa was reupholstered in a Malabar Ikat print from Thibaut Design. It was easy to create a diamond effect in the seat by following the geometric lines of the fabric, which complimented the clean simple lines of the sofa.
Antique furniture leg styles are key not only to appearance and functionality, but also to identifying your furniture. Furniture legs can provide clues to the approximate age and style of a piece. Can you tell how old an antique is just by the shape of its leg? Well, no, not the exact date it was created, because classic leg designs are copied to this day. But a leg can you tell you when a style was first introduced and that is one important step in identifying an antique's age and period if it is a true antique. These pictures show the different stye of furniture legs and feet and what era they originated from.
Amazing club chair we did for a clients game room. The fabric is a Jonathan Adler print with a repeat of 25" vertical and 13.5" horizontal. So the challenge in this piece was managing the white parts with the rainbow print.
