In April some of us here at Blawnox Upholstery were lucky enough to get to go to High Point North Carolina for the big Furniture Market. When I started here at Blawnox two years ago what I knew about the upholstery world was pretty close to nothing. So getting to go to High Point and see the Industry from a different perspective was great. We got to see different manufacturing methods, new designs, and upcoming trends. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Our first stop happened to be Saddlemans, a leather company based in Santa Fe New Mexico. They specialize in cowhides. We picked up a few of their hides and they are available in our showroom. We have all sorts of ideas for the hides. I am personally making a custom ottoman with one for my husband’s library. One of my favorite stops was the Thibaut Design Showroom. We carry Thibaut and I am a big fan of their fabrics and wallpapers. It was really nice to see all the new fabrics and styles that they were showcasing at High Point. We also made a brief stop at Masterfield Furniture were we picked up this beautiful Asian print chair. It would be impossible to put into one blog post the number of things that we saw at The High Point Furniture Market. It was a great time and a wonderful experience. I hope to be going back next year!
Amazing club chair we did for a clients game room. The fabric is a Jonathan Adler print with a repeat of 25" vertical and 13.5" horizontal. So the challenge in this piece was managing the white parts with the rainbow print.
