Before and After a run down chair gets a second chance.

It is far too often that I see pieces of furniture left on the side of the road with just a few nicks, bruises and scuffs.  If there is anything that we take for granted it is the desire to repair—to salvage and enhance rather than toss. Today’s before and after, is a chair the client had from her Grandmother. She had just gotten married and wanted to bring these pieces into her home.   The goal with these chairs was to update the look as well as the style.  We removed the skirt and used two complimentary fabrics.  The stripe was picked to help enhance the clean and simple lines of the chair while the green provides a nice neutral element.  The use of two complimentary fabrics on the same piece is a great way to make something ordinary into something extraordinary - a statement piece.
